Cercis canadensis Hearts of Gold

'Hearts of Gold' is a deciduous tree, often featuring multiple stems, with a rounded crown.

In spring, its heart-shaped leaves first appear orange-red, transition to a bright gold-yellow in full sun, and eventually mature to a yellow-green hue. Before the leaves emerge, clusters of small, pea-like, rose-purple flowers bloom on the bare branches.
