Acer Inaba Shidare

Known for its vigorous, pendulous growth habit. Its leaves are a rich dark purple, deeply serrated, and maintain their color throughout the summer, turning crimson-red in autumn.

This variety prefers moist, well-drained soil but can suffer from leaf scorch if exposed to excessive sun, wind, or drought. It is also cold-hardy, making it an excellent choice for bonsai enthusiasts.

 Native to Japan, Korea, China, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia, Acer palmatum is a deciduous tree. The 'Inaba-shidare' variety was introduced by the Yokohama Nursery Company in Japan in 1930.
